Rinse out selecta! Back 2 back at our home<3 the place called Hausmania (!) for a full on Jungle special. Many “Jungle” names are popping up round town, don’t get it twisted! -this event is all about the real jungle music! Welcome to the rave where smashing amen riddim’s collides with big badman bass.

Arctic Junglist is a concept focused on Jungle music, presenting from the classic 90s rave era, right up until the more modern styles and beyond. Jungle touches on many other genres - so expect some Drum n Bass, Breakcore, Old School Hardcore and Reggae/Dancehall influences to boot.

All artists on the night will bring the jungle fire All from Breakcore, Drum n Bass, Dubwise, to Old School Hardcore

Special guests will be Jungle legend SKAGGY - flying over from the birthplace of Jungle - East London, as well as local Junglist Sub Konsept from the Oslo based crew Konkret Jungel.

Hausmania er truet med konkurs og må samle inn 600 000 kr for å klare seg over nyttår. Dette skyldes kraftig økning i strømpriser og kommunale utgifter, samt økonomisk etterslep fra pandemien. For å samle inn penger til utgiftene arrangerer vi 4 støttekonserter i desember, der alle inntektene vil gå til å betale utgiftene på huset!

På 14. Desember vil Skankin Oslo sette fyr på dansegulvet med MJOI fra Storbritannia, mange fra crewet vil reppe, up and coming Konkret Jungel vil varme opp så blir heftig musikk fra start til slutt. Jungle, Drum & Bass av alle mulige slag!

Hausmania har vært vårt hjem i snart 15 år. Ingen andre steder i Oslo har vist så mye kjærlighet for vår type musikk. Kom å vis støtte, ta med venner, fiender, mamma, naboen og legg igjen spenn i baren.

I tillegg til økningen i utgiftene over ønsker også kommunen å kreve over 2 millioner mer i husleie fra Hausmania pr år, som huset kjemper i mot. Dette vil i så fall sette krok på døren for drift av huset og alle kunstnere, musikere og andre som holder til her.

Hausmania huser over 50 kunstnere fra det visuelle feltet, scenekunst og dans, i tillegg til minst like mange musikere. I motsetning til Oslo kommunes atelierer som er midlertidige, gir atelierene på Hausmania kontinuitet for kunstnere, samt muligheten til å ta del i et kryssdisiplinært og kreativt økosystem. Hausmania satser på unge kunstnere og musikere, og det er her mange har hatt sine første ordentlige atelierer, utstillinger og spillejobber. Huset er vertskap for viktige aktører i Oslos kunstscene som galleriet Podium, Café Hærverk, Grusomhetens Teater, Praxis, Dansenshaus og Hackeriet. Med disse forsvinner tilbud til både den utvidede kunstscenen og Oslo sine innbyggere.

Å miste Hausmania er å miste historie og et av de få stedene som er igjen i Oslo og nasjonalt som representerer og dyrker motkultur, det rare, det smale og det helt brede. Vi trenger Hausmania! Og nå - trenger Hausmania dere!

We are proud to announce that Skankin is back at Flerbrukshallen, fresh for the autumn. This time with a special treat - not just one, but two headliners from the UK! First up is Refracta, one of the recent new, big names in Drum n Bass. After gigging in festivals all over UK, including Boomtown, he will soon be swooping down to Oslo town.

Next up is Noh Vae, a long time collaborator with Tall N Skinny, bringing the irie side of Bass music. His styles range from DnB, Dubstep, Footwork and beyond.

Musical support coming from Skankin crew founders TnS & Dr Roman, as well as the badman DJ Horseman. Warm up by Tellev outta Bergen. All this on a big, phat soundsystem expertly handled by technician IGUBU.

An Italian music producer, DJ, and sound engineer based in the UK, began his career as a resident DJ and promoter in Italy alongside his crew Nu Combo and MC Tall N Skinny before moving to the UK to study sound engineering and further pursue his passion for music. Noh Vae's diverse productions span various genres, and his DJ sets are a seamless journey through different musical styles. He has shared stages with renowned artists such as Shy Fx, Roni Size, DJ Storm, and DJ Flight while receiving support from Sherelle and Tom Ravenscroft on BBC Radio for his tracks. It’s been almost ten years since Seppo passed away from us, and without a doubt he has left a void in Oslo’s underground. We miss him a lot and we always feel his energy and presence when we blast Jungle music at our raves. The spirit of Seppo was strong with the mission to spread Drum & Bass to the locals, having a weekly show at RadiOrakel (Blitz) by the name of “Jungle-Telegrafen”, where he showcased local Junglists by interviewing them and playing their favourite tunes, as well as running many shows solo. Check them out below in the link section. Seppo also worked with SubPub at Maksitaksi, as well as raves in places like Borgen. We have been talking about doing a tribute for some time, so when the chance came to do a rave at Blitz, we knew it was a sign to run the riddim in the name of the DJ APECAT.

We know many people in Oslo love Seppo, and we hope you will make your way to Blitz in the main room to skank in his memory! This event is in collaboration with Simon Peter, Seppo’s brother, who has carried Seppo’s legacy by continuously blasting big beats and bass in the local scene and beyond for almost a decade now.
